Note from the Author: 3

It rained today, though only for a short while. I looked out the window and felt gleeful. I love rain, and everything about it: the smell of the damp grass, the caress of the raindrops on my skin, the feeling that nothing can go wrong in the world. No heartaches, no thoughts. Just peace.

My friend and I left notes on the board at the pantry. Day 2 of our office's "Appreciation Week" (heaven knows they meant 'Valentines Day' in a week) were heart-shaped notes. We left quite a few, most were for our friends and our supervisors. I'm pretty sure they'll know which notes are from us, because we even included the birth dates of our friends born in February. One of them is on the 14th.

Most people use Valentines Day as an excuse to act all mushy, but forget to love for the rest of the year. My SO and I don't celebrate Valentines Day extravagantly. There isn't even any flowers, or chocolate. Some people might find him heartless but I don't mind, because he only has eyes for me and just being together is enough for the both of us. We both know loving someone isn't only shown one day a year. It's every waking moment of our lives.

Although, him cooking dinner for me doesn't hurt. It's romantically cute!
;)
